Great little canIf you re looking for a fantastic trash can you need to consider this model. It s both strong and durable plus it has a swinging lid to keep out pests like children and bugs. I d buy it again if I needed another but I must recommend it with the highest review possible. 5Sturdy and perfect!Really good trash can. I use for my dogs wee wee pads. It s sturdy plastic and swing cover works great, does not get stuck. I was looking for a match for my others and it s perfect. 5I think I'm actually excited about a trash can - Nice sized, easy care-10 Gallon Trash Can w/ Swing TopThere are times, Like now for instance, when you want to do the right thing and write a review on an item you bought so others can benefit (perhaps) from it. But, some items just feel a bit weird writing about them. Maybe I should get really excited about my new Umar Grand 10 Gallon Swing Top Trash Can, but folks, it IS just a trash can. I guess I am getting older and things that might have been important to me years ago are not any longer. Here is what I will say. This is exactly what I wanted for the extra room I use now and then in the winter when it is too icy to risk life and limb(s) climbing 3 flights of really horrible outside stairs with my (adopted, retired) greyhound. (Had to sneak that in there - great dogs to adopt!) It was harder than I thought to find something that wasn't KITCHEN size. I didn't want anything that big. This is a perfect size for pee pads, which I roll up as small as possible and put into the recyclable bags, and then into another larger liner recyclable bag. The best thing about this 10 gallon trash can is the cover, as it swings leaving one hand free to toss the bags in and of course the size. If you have to carry your trash down 3 icy flights of stairs and then out to the curb, you don't want something that weighs 50 lbs. It is easy to get to that weight using a larger trash can. ("Liquid is HEAVY") Also, no matter who many times you wrap the used paper or pads, you still can get an odor if you use a large container. So, hmm...I guess I am excited to have this 10 gallon (Plastic- another plus, easy to wash out) trash can. It's styled simply, fits anywhere easily and doesn't tip over. I like it - more than I thought! ANYTHING that makes life easier is a good thing. 5Lid isn t a tight fit. But it s a sturdy can.It s a trash can. Sturdy enough bottom/can section.(It is a bit bigger than I needed but that is my error for not checking with a measuring tape first so not the product)I really needed something that had a tighter fitting lid, this lid fits rather loose, I need something with a lid that snaps tighter, just isn t quite what I needed. Not sure if I ll keep it and find another use for it, or return it.Basically took off one star because the lid wasn t a snap tight fit.If a firm fitting lid isn t a concern for you, overall it s a decent trash can.Update:did not have to return it, my brother took it to use in his bathroom, he was ok with the loose fitting lid, said he may just use the can and leave the lid off. 4YEAR 1/2 OLD BUT LOOKS BRAND NEW !!!This was a great deal ! It's been over a year since I bought this waste basket . To this day it look's' brand new ! I would recommend this to my family & friends ! Fast shipping great price ! Holds trash.My biggest complaint here isn't a valid review criticism, since the size is posted in the title. But 10 gallons is a little small for me, for a kitchen trashcan. Maybe I'm just lazy and want to change my trashbag as little as possible.That aside, it's a good, serviceable piece of waste equipment. We don't always use it with the top on, since- if it's full- the flap won't close, which defeats the purpose of having a closing top.It's aesthetically, nice to look at. Black, sleek, shiny. And that's where the comparisons to my iPhone end.Top fits well into the bottom. Like I said, no major complaints besides the size (which ethically, I'm trying not to let colour my perceptions since I was outright told how big it was before I bought it. The swing top is exactly what I needed for my "laundry room". I highly recommend this brand. I have had the exact same trash can in my office for 6 years now, and the trash can still looks and works excellently so I expect the same with this. This can will do the job !This highly durable, inexpensive can is perfect for your bathroom, kitchen, garage, patio or wherever you need it. It is lightweight, yet durable. I have placed it in the kids bathroom (two teens and a pre-teen). The teens clean their bathroom once a week and the small wastebasket was always filled to the brim which was an ugly sight so I really like the fact that it is big enough to hold a weeks worth of trash. Not too big, not too small, just right. It is medium-large, as far as garbage cans go. We have it in our bathroom as we have a lot of trash from our pets, and it works great. We don't have to constantly change the bag. 5and I made it look like bullet billI bought this can along with some printer-friendly sticker paper, and I made it look like bullet bill... My geeky self is so proud 5
