    It Leaks!2 out of 2 of these have ended up leaking. The first one was already leaking in theshipping package. The second one started leaking a couple of days after we got it. In both, the leak is coming from a weak seal along the edges of the blue base plate. 1IT'S A METAPHORIt's a metaphor. Fantastic fun at desk while reconciling difficult financial accounts. When I get frustrated, I pick it up, crash the Titanic into the iceberg a few times as a metaphor, then enjoy the blue "water" rolling back and forth, and return to my challenging accounts. 5I love this.I bought this even after reading some of the negative reviews. I am so glad I did. It was perfect when it arrived. I did not review it right away just in case something went wrong but all is good. No leaking at all.I have it on my desk at work and find myself playing with it on a regular basis. But it's not just me. Anyone who sees it has to do the same!Love it. 5Great addition to confe4ence tableThis is a blast. I leave it on my conference room table and people can t resist picking it up and playing with it. The floating iceberg always gets a laugh. The second aspect is when you gently rock it back and forth it does create this sooth8ng wave motion. Totally addictive! 5My 8 year old's favorite thingMy eight year old is fascinated by the Titanic, so "Santa" put this in his stocking. It is his favorite thing from Christmas. He just loves it. 5What's not to love? My son uses this as a calming tool, he loves the wave action and he loves all things Titanic so it was perfect. You really can't resist picking it up and swishing it back and forth. 5No problems an fun to play withArrived quick and no leaks...nice. All that see it have to give it a try. One addition I made was to add a small round tooth pick to the bottom somewhat off center. Makes it easy to tip back and forth and saves picking it up. Got tired of cleaning fingerprints from the sides. Works real well. Also can then be made to be level again by placing a nickel under the down side. 4Attractive Piece That Looks More Decorative Than You'd Expect a Paperweight to BeThis was a gift for my son who LOVES all things Titanic. He was thrilled to get it and keeps it on his nightstand (where it looks like a decorative item, not a paperweight). I have caught him humming the movie's theme song as he tilts the paperweight to make waves. (I've also found it relaxing to tilt it and watch the boat rock on the waves.) He has packed it in luggage to show it to cousins, so it's traveled. It's been dropped by his sister, too, and is still intact. It is an attractive piece and fun for those who love the Titanic. 5Just like the one soldI purchased one of these this summer at the Titanic Museum in Branson for my 7yo. He was soooOoo disappointed when he dropped it on the hardwood floor & it shattered! Glad I found this for him for Christmas. Is it my imagination? Or is this thicker plastic than the one from the actual museum?! At any rate, my son was so surprised I found another one (I bought two just in case!) He has autism and loves the Titanic. This is like those sparkly calm down jars for him. He loves to look at it! 5I did not buy this to serve as a paperweight ...I did not buy this to serve as a paperweight but because my son loves titanic sooo much. After few days, i found a slight leak. I hope to buy it again but afraid that it would result to a leak in few days again. I'm giving this a 5-star rating because my son loves this soo much and i see his eyes glow when he opened the box. 5
