All I can say is WOW!So I had made mini egg frittatas in my old muffin tin and trying to scrub the egg residue off was torture and I had vowed never to make them again until a friend told me about this brand of bakeware! I tried the exact same receipt with this muffin tin and the results were amazing! I only had to rinse the muffin tin with soapy water because nothing stuck to it at all. I can't wait to make muffins without having to use cupcake liners. And I will be buying the rest of the set as soon as I can!!
5Best Pan I Have Used in 50 years!I am one happy baker! I have been baking for over 50 years, and this is the best pan I have ever used. What makes it different? First, the pan is heavier, stronger and more well made than some of my other pans. Second, I didn't grease the pans (as others have mentioned), and the muffins popped right out onto the counter after I let them rest for a couple of minutes. Finally, I didn't have any inconsistent results when I compared the muffins with each other. While this pan won't automatically make you a great baker, it WILL assure that you have consistent results from batch to batch, and great baking is partly about the ability to have consistently great results, time after time. Some of the other pans in my kitchen are in real trouble.
5Pan doesn't perform according to descriptionI've had this pan for only 8 months now, and it worked great for only a short while (only about a month). I used it according to directions (ie: no sharp utensils or abrasive cleaning, etc.). My baked goods stick. I even started greasing the muffin cups with margarine and my muffins still stick. I tried to contact the company and they said I had to take photos of damage to "get it replaced". I wanted my money back, but they said I would have to ask Amazon, and it is too late for a return now. There is no damage, the pan just does not work according to what was described. The cookie sheet we have also, and that is good so far, just the muffin pan is not good. Now I am stuck with it.
1AFTER use for about 5 times it is peeling and I don t feel safe using it..REVISION after about 5 uses!! NOT happy with this pan! As you can see in the pictures the finish is peeling off all over the pan!! I never used anything but a soft sponge and dawn dishwashing detergent when hand washing. I NEVER used this pan above 350* when it was in my toaster oven.. My original review was 5 stars. NOW it is 1 star. PLease don t count on this pan lasting.. My daughter has a pan like this that I bought for her as a gift. Hers is in worse condition.. The following is part of the first review.. before it was actually used a lot and tried out by my family..(This pan is great...a nice thickness and weight to it..LOVE it.. I also bought a set for my daughter as a gift..She loves it as much as I do. I am sure I will use nothing but this pan and others made by this company from now on..) Too bad the pan didn t hold up.. I can t find a link to contact the seller..
1Saved the mac 'n' cheese bites -- and New Year'sNonstick as advertised! I had an OLD mini muffin pan that I tried using to make mac 'n' cheese bites for a Christmas Eve party, using nonstick spray as the recipe suggested. They came out stuck to the pan and had to be pried out in bits. Tasty bits, though, so I decided to try again on Christmas, using the same pan, greased and floured. This time they came out of the oven welded to the pan. The pan went out in the trash and I went to a well-known cookware site and Amazon to find something better. The reviews said this USA Pan was the best so I placed an order right away so I'd have it in time to make the mac 'n' cheese bites for New Years.OK, here we go... the party's about to start. Grease the pan and plop in the mixture. And hope. The timer goes off, out comes the pan and YES (fist pump), they plop right out with a nudge from my silicone spatula. Success (both pan and recipe). Had to make more, so a quick wash of the pan and in goes a second batch. Same winning result.I am very happy with this purchase and I'm anxious to try my next recipe. Hmmm, those bananas are looking overripe... how about some mini banana muffins?
5least fave of 3 used... see belowWe purchased 3 new muffin tins and did side by side comparisons with my daughters blue ribbon muffins, below are her comments on each. All 3 pans fit 2 side by side in a standard size oven.USA Pan (1200MF) Bakeware Cupcake and Muffin Pan, 12 Well, Nonstick & Quick Release Coating, Made in the USA from Aluminized Steel - $16.72They cook faster but brown too quickly , in her opinion they got too brown on top. Heavy in generalAmazonBasics Nonstick Carbon Steel Muffin Pan, Set of 2, 12 Cups Each - $6.00 eachThe pan itself bakes well, even results, spill-overs were harder to get off when compared to Farberware, but there is very little room to grip and remove pan from oven.Farberware Nonstick Bakeware 12-Cup Muffin Pan, Gray - $5.99Her Favorite easy to get in and out of hot oven, even bake, easy to wash, everything just rinsed off. All Muffins were in liners but these were still the easiest to pop out.
3Better than five starsI waited to use the pans a few times before writing a tried and tested impression. My toughest challenge for the pan was salted caramel brownies. I like making individual in a muffin pan rather than slicing square. The pan is spotless after easily removing brownies. I have included a picture of the pan right after removing the brownies. It barely needs a rinse wash. There are two tips I might give. One: follow the hand wash recommendation, it is effortless really and two: allow food to cool somewhat before removing...not all treats require cooling but gooey or sticky items remove effortlessly when cooled. I used an off the shelf salted caramel brownie mix. Baked for 22 minutes and allowed them to cool completely. Made 12 perfect brownies. I have also made smores, raspberry danish, egg cups, cupcakes and rice krispy treats. No pan spray needed. Made in the USA sealed the perfection.
5Nonstick heaven!Fantastic! Just made blueberry muffins. I did not use muffin liners or any butter/spray. They came right out and easy to clean. Check out the pics.
5BEST MUFFIN PAN HAVE USED IN 75 YEARSWhen I found rust spots beginning on my old muffin pans, decided it was time to buy a new one. After reading a lot of Amazon reviews, decided to give this one a try. In all my 75 years, this is the best muffin pan I have ever used. While it is a little heavy for my arthritic hands, I would not change a thing about it. It absolutely makes the best muffins I have ever tried. The size of the pan is just right; the weight is great for heating and baking the best muffins at home. From the very first batch of muffins, they have always released immediately upon turning the pan over. Couldn't ask for better turn out. Clean up is easy, even tho I have a tendency to overffill the cups and there is always some bake-on. I definitely recommend this pan to anyone wanting professional quality bakery muffins right from their own kitchen.
5Pan is great but is the recipe wrong?Just received my 12 well crown muffin pan and decided to do a test bake using the recipe for Cinnamon Apple Crumb Muffins found on the back of the sleeve. I'm wondering if there is a mistake in the recipe as it doesn't call for any liquid (just 1/3 cup melted butter and 1 egg). The directions say to "stir until the flour is moistened". Well I could have stirred until the cows came home and all the flour never would have been incorporated and I hate to think of how tough all that stirring would have made the muffins. So I added enough milk to make the batter more of a typical muffin consistency, added the crumb topping and popped them into the oven.Checked them at 18 minutes and they were still pretty raw. At 23 minutes they were done to perfection.I let them cool for five minutes in the pan before removing them to finish cooling on a rack.Wow - I'm impressed! They released so easily and the pan washed up like a dream. I didn't grease the pan or use paper liners ( my paper liners seemed to big for the wells) and I've always used liners. The pan is pricey for my taste and budget but I think it is worth the splurge if the performance continues to live up to it's first run.
