    Good wind, a bit of noise This is a replacement for the stand alone Vornado the children broke by knocking it over. This one produces the same wind targeted effect, but is quite a bit louder. The old one could sit right next to me during sleep - could barely hear it. This one has to be across the room and it is still loud. The MFG changed the bearing setup, likely for cost reasons. But in doing so, they broke their product. It is sad when to save $5 a company halves the value of their ware. 3This fan blows. In the good way. :) The plastic feels a little less sturdy than I was hoping for, but is still strong enough to keep me from worrying about anything cracking or breaking it. Will post further comments to how it holds up to the inevitable wear and tear from being in the art studio.Drop the $20 Walmart box fan and invest in something that will last longer and do a better job. 5vornado cr1 review I like the fan yes but I also purchased the 660. Its a much nicer fan style and power wise. But it also cost more. This fan gets the job done . It is also louder than the other model. 4absolutely no complaints Works great, High setting does make noise but what do you expect, so do jet engines. The two lower setting are very quiet. I love it 5A great air circulator This is a powerful air circulator and it is pretty quiet. Not silent, but quiet. It helps circulate the air nicely and should cut down on my A/C costs in the summer. 5Really moves the air! Ordered this used. It arrived in perfect condition, well-packaged. Worked well right out of the box. This is my fourth Vornado product and I think it's my favorite so far. You can point the fan in a number of directions to help increase air flow. Even on the low setting, it really cools ALL the air in the room quickly. There are three speed settings. It is very rare that we need to use anything other than "low" in order to cool down the room. It sits in a corner, which helps to distribute the air better. I'll be buying Vornado products again! Recommended. 5Love Vornado! I had a smaller Vornado that I've used for work for years...(as an interior painter I need it for quick-drying once in a while) so I got this one to add to my arsenal.
