It couldn't be more garbage if they tried. Wow, there is some junky stuff and then there is profound, monumental junk. This is like the Mona Lisa of crap. You could put together a LP box with dog drool and toilet paper and have a better chance of it holding your vinyl than this. If you had an old Kleenex box that was the size on an LP and left it outdoors in the rain for a couple years, had animals chew on it, dogs pee on it, and then brought it back in and put your LPs inside it would still work better than this cardboard Chinese garbage. These people are downright thieves. It probably is worth .01 cents in materials and seems like it was engineered by a drug-addled 3rd-grade dropout. 1Terrible Purchase This was a terrible product. It s some type of recycled product held together by a sticky tape like substance. I bought it to store albums. I have less then 25 albums. When I put the albums in the box the box fell apart immediately. 1Terrible Product I bought this for my sister Dec. 2017, it fell apart and she even got the white ones and they turned yellow, and there are no smokers in the house. She got so frustrated and threw them out, don't blame her. Now this said lifetime warranty, however we no longer have it cause it was thrown out with the trash. Is there anything that you can do for us? I might be able to change my review some. She'd like to have the same set if you can guarantee durability. She did love the way they looked, but sadly they didn't make it. 1These containers are pretty cool! This Vinyl record storage cube has cool for a number of reasons.Pros: Way easy to assemble; is pretty sturdy; and holds records well. Aesthetically pleasing it has a very nice look and feel to it.Cons: the pieces seem to match up to each other but with gaps; the adhesive is very sticky, but the gaps are there due to no additional adhesive strips for the sides to adhere to the back piece. I ended up using a woodworking glue for this, and the pegs used to guide assembly. Both issues are minor, but due to no additional adhesive strips. Am definitely going to be getting two more of these and doing the same treatment on them. No biggy, great product for the price! 4No strength Very simple to put together. But they don't hold any weight. We ordered three of them for our record collection, and they simply fell apart once our records were placed inside of the storage container. 2Made of paper, does not work as a record shelf This is made of paper. Paper is not meant to hold together when holding heavier items like vinyl records. Whoever thought to call this more than a cardboard box held together with adhesive strips should be fired. The name alone is misleading because there s no possible way it can function as the title suggests. 1Sure the material feels like a thin I don't get the negative reviews about the flimsiness. Sure the material feels like a thin, cheap piece of junk when you unpack it but let me tell you something....I weigh 210 lbs and I sat AND stood on each of my 8 cubes while they were still EMPTY and they didn't budge! Then I filled a row of 4 with my precious vinyl and they appear to have become even more sturdy! I don't know exactly how much a 15"x15" cube full of LPs weigh but I have 3 full cubes piled on a full bottom cube and I experienced zero movement and therefore zero fear of damaging my precious vinyl. Highly recommended! 4Needs Superglue! It works if you reinforce it yourself. It's a good size for records, but the description says it can hold 60+, but with 40 on it, it just came apart. Reading reviews, it seems like the common problem is that people put it on it's side, but I know I built it correctly. I reinforced it with superglue. It seems to be holding now. 2 inch nails would have worked also. It looks good when it stays together! 3Makes Ikea look like heirloom funiture I am very sorry that I did not read the reviews for this item but I assumed "How can a company mess up a record cube?".....well these folks did, and in spectacularly poor fashion.Note bene:The panels that make up this cube are hollow core pressboard...yes, that's right -hollow- core. I've already dented the upper left corner of the box and I've had it less than 30 minutes.If this were a $10 or $12 product I would probably shrug and toss it in this week's recycling bin, but $34!!! This company should be ashamed of itself.Oh well, lesson learned.....Always read the reviews -before- you buy 2They are light but very strong I really do not understand the bad reviews I have them stacked almost to the ceiling ... I have to agree with the last review I bought 8 of the cubes a year ago . I sat and stood on these things after putting them together and let them set over night empty. The next day I loaded all of them with my collection of vinyl . If you want to move them I highly recommend taking the vinyl out of the cubes . This is a very good product highly recommended. 5
