Customer Reviews

Sharp edges will dig right into non stick coating on coated pans. I really like the look and feel of this spatula. It is heavy and seems to be made of quality metal. The only drawback is the edge on them that can be seen in the picture. While that edge is great for scooping up things, it also digs right into the non stick coating on coated pans. I have to be very careful when using it or it will scrape some of the non stick coating right off the pan in and right into my food. They should probably recommend this spatula for cast iron or all metal pans right in the description. 5Sturdy, Firm, Probably a "Buy it for Life" type item. I think it's kind of ridiculous to review a spatula but I wanted to address most of the complaints are utterly worthless, things like "it's too heavy, or it doesn't stand correctly, imbalanced, etc" I just want to say, it's a 7 dollar spatula, stop expecting the world from it. It won't cook for you either. Now onto the review, it's sturdy, firm, not flexible, it fits my hands well, it's flame resistant, it's not heavy (your burgers are just too weak if you're using a flexible one).Like most wood, it's handwash only. Not a problem as it cleaned up with ease. 5Perfect for Cast Iron Pans or Steel Griddle This was just what I wanted! The stainless steel blade is heavy and stiff with a sharp edge that makes it ideal for use with a griddle or with cast iron pans. The sharp edge helps scrape off any food that sticks. The only minor issue is the superficial finish on the wood handle, but didn't expect anything more for the price. I just took some 220 grit sandpaper to the wood handle and eased the hard edges in the process. Then I rubbed the handle down with mineral oil and it looks and feels great. I highly recommend this product for cast iron or steel cooking surfaces. I would not use in on my stainless steel skillets for fear of scratching the surface with the sharp edges. 5A spatula to actually get excited about I use this every single day. I wanted a spatula as manly as my beard, flannel shirt, and the cast iron skillet I cook every meal on. I wanted the type of spatula that my grand pappy used to use at the deer cabin to make flapjacks for 30 men. This is that spatula ladies and gentlemen. This is the second piece of cookware to have me excited (First being Lodge Cast Iron Skillet). As corny as this sounds, this spatula can be handed down to your grandkids one day, and I plan on doing just that. 5Buy. This. I use this to smash burgers and then scrape them off a griddle.Specifically, I'll salt the griddle, place an adequately sized "ball" of hamburger meat on the surface, place the turner on the meat and while holding in the turner in one hand, I push the blade of the turner down firmly with a beer bottle, held in my other hand. You may need to re-position the turner to flatten the patty out nicely, but when you get a nice sear on the bottom, you flip it and put a slice of cheese on top, let it finish cooking as much as you please. Then it's time to scrape the patty off the griddle and onto your bun. Contrary to popular belief you can make a medium rare smash burger... At your own discretion(Is your meat free of e. coli? That's your problem.) I do it. That's all I'm saying.I described how I use this turner because that shows how well it's constructed. I can smash/push and scrape and this thing is no worse for the wear. It's thick and has beveled edges and It's what I want it to be, for what I'm doing. With this turner in your hand, if you encounter God, God will get smashed, scraped and turned. Just make sure you have a beer bottle in your hand, too. That said, I don't do things like let the handle soak in water. It's wood, and that will eventually cause some wear and ruin the finish. Common sense. If you want a solid heavy duty turner, buy this. 5Answer to my cast iron problems! I recently replaced all the pans in my house with Cast Iron. The plastic utensils just weren't doing it for me anymore (melting blah). Read the reviews on this and figured I didn't have much to lose. It has worked PERFECTLY. I actually really enjoy making omelettes with it. Not only does it do great flipping them over and getting under and around but when I'm finished and I put it on the kids plate the sides cut it into perfect squares for the little guy! Love it!Additionally, this feels very high quality in your hand. It's well balanced and solid. Not flimsy in the slightest. Get it, you'll love it :) 510 + stars 10 + This product is great. Durable handle. Durable blade with excellent beveled edges. Blade so strong it works great on cast iron skillets. And the price is increadible. Note, if you buy the 3 pack on amazon you pay a couple bucks more. Buy them single and get more than one if desired. 5fantastic flipper, hefty, helpful tool, great value The "Winco TN719 Blade Hamburger Turner, 6-Inch by 3-Inch" is a solid, well-made kitchen tool. The large flipper size is great for turning omelets, steaks. fish, pancakes and other foods. The wooden handle allows a good grip and stays cool. I use my cast iron skillets a lot for preparing a variety of dishes, and this is the perfect spatula for metal pans or grills. The shape and construction of the tool is also great for cutting and serving foods such as lasagna, casseroles, brownies, and marshmallow cereal treats directly from the pan. It is easy to clean, and I use it almost every day. Excellemt value for the price. 5Just what I needed to make the best smash burgers Just what I needed to make the best smash burgers. No need to ever go to Five Guys, In and Out, Smash Burgers, Shake Shack or any other burger joint. This tool with the beveled edge is perfect for retaining the buttered, seared side of the meat. Turn the blade with the beveled side down, and in one motion get under the buttered sear. Flip the burger normally and you have the best burger anywhere. Well made sturdy product. Will last a lifetime. Very satisfied customer. Five stars 5Not good for eggs, a heavy duty piece. Too thick for eggs, but pretty good for scraping the bottom of cast iron pans. It might also come in handy for killing zombies. This edge is serious business. 4
