Honest reviewer here! I needed a small nightstand that could fulfill several purposes. 1. I needed to get to my white board easily without it knocking or bruising me ( see attached) .2. I needed a nightstand that was not rubbish and made out of that fake wood chip crap companies usually sell3. I needed a nightstand that would also double as a book shelf for my textbooks I can say that this is the only nightstand that satisfies all of my demands and is within my budget (somewhat hehe). Again you are getting real wood here so that is why it is a bit pricey for its size, but it is absolutely simple and sleek AND it took me literally 15-20 min to put together! i am very pleased with this but just to give people a heads up, it has a country white tone to it. It is white don't get me wrong, but it has a SLIGHT creamy tone to it.. very subtle though. Other than that, very satisfied with my purchase and packaging was excellent, as always with amazon products. Leave me a thumbs up if I helped ya in any way, THANKS! 5I was pretty surprised at the quality of wood here I am so excited to finally get these. I waited until the price dropped, and got 2 of them as soon as I got the alert. First of all, if you're expecting high quality furniture, these are not the nightstands for you. I will say however, that these are the nicest $34 nightstands/end tables that you will find anywhere (and a certain other overpriced furniture website is selling these for $74). And they certainly look more expensive than they're worth.I was pretty surprised at the quality of wood here. The white finish was just fine. In some areas I was disappointed to see that it wasn't painted, but when I started assembling, I realized that all those areas are covered up by other pieces, so no worries! There were no scratches on any of my pieces. Yes, the drawer bottom is thin. You're not going to be able to put a bunch of heavy stuff in those drawers, but if you really wanted to, it's extremely simple to just replace the drawer bottom with a piece of wood!Now, on to assembly. It was easy, but annoying. Easy because you really don't even need the directions. It's obvious how it all goes together. The first review on the expensive furniture site is from a guy/gal who claimed he/she was an expert in furniture assembly, but had sit for 30 minutes to decipher the instructions. It's just pictures (no actual directions), but again so obvious. Each table took me about 40 minutes. The annoying part is when you're putting the legs onto the main table top. The table top has a nice overhang, but the allen wrench doesn't have enough length for leverage on one side, and the other side has enough length for leverage, but not enough length for one full revolution. I was only getting 180 degree turns every time instead of 360. That probably took me 15 minutes just to get them tightened enough. Oh, and put the drawer pull on before assembling the drawer..it makes it so much easier.The shape of the typical allen wrench is pretty much my only complaint here, and since that's not Winsome's fault, there's no reason not to give these night stands 5 stars. They are cute, simple, and perfect for my guest room! 5It's really good for the price It's really good for the price! Small and cute and very easy to assemble. The inside part is kind of like card board but it still holds stuff pretty well. The night stand is sturdy... The drawer is fine too if you pull it out too far then it goes down (slants) but you can push it back in. Not a problem! The painiting is fine as well. May come with a little scratches on the back of the wood buy won't show when you assemble it all together! :-) 4It's really black. Nice product, I purchased in hopes that it was more espresso than black. It is definitely black black. No hint of red. Assembly was easy, took about 15 minutes. See photo for comparison to espresso furniture.The lower shelf seems like it'll hold about 10-15 lbs with no worries. The drawer should hold about 1 lb of stuff. 4Look under poor screws I like that it's made mostly made out of wood. I was ready to return the table when the first two long screws stripped before I could tighten them. They had to be removed very carefully with pliers. The provided tool did not properly fit the hex headed screws and stripped very easily making them unusable. The door color did not match the rest of the table. When I get tired of looking at it I will paint the whole thing. I replaced the provided screws with pocket screws 1This is a great table for the price This is a great table for the price. As other reviewers stated, the drawer is silly, as it slants down when open, but I purchased this knowing the fault. A simple rail could vastly improve this functionality. It was easy to put together and since it's for a guest room and only holds a lamp and TV remotes, it works fine for me. 4Inconsistent wood finish otherwise good basic nightstand I ordered one of these for each of my two kids. These are good basic wooden nightstands with a small footprint and an affordable price. After we put the first one together, I was all set to give 5 stars BUT then we put the second one together and the drawer front is a completely different finish (see picture -- one drawer front has a nice wood grain, the other is just a plain no-grain veneer). They shipped at the same time from the same vendor. This doesn't effect their function at all and my 9 & 10 year olds don't seem to mind but if they were for use in my room, I'd return one. 3Tougher then it intended!! I ordered this table to put my mini fridge on top of it. I asked in the Q&A if it would hold the weight. I received 3 answers stating it would hold, but the manufacturer contacted me stating it had a 40 lb. capacity...after I had already ordered it...Once I got it, I figured I would never use it, but decided to put it together, just to see if I could use it anywhere...this little table is a lot sturdier then the manufacturer realizes. I weigh 300 lb. and the table takes my weight without a wiggle...I think my 60 lb. fridge will be fine! 5Don't bother. I sure wish I would have spent a little more and ordered a better product. I read the reviews on this and they seemed pretty good. Man, people must really be used to buying garbage because this is not a good product. The drawer arrived chipped. This is super flimsy and cheaply made. And the worst part? It looks primed, NOT painted white. The brush strokes show and inconsistently I might add. The drawer is a completely different shade than the top. It honestly just looks sort of primed white. I won't bother to return because honestly, it's a hassle. But I'm not happy about it and now will have to eat the cost and spend twice as much on a real nightstand instead. I do not recommend. 1Great product for the price I bought 2 of these to use as nightstands. They are a heavy solid wood, easy to assemble, and they look great in my bedroom. These nightstands are on the smaller side, but that is what I wanted. I didn't want clunky or massive. I paid Thirty Seven Dollars for each and it was completely worth it. I am satisfied. The lining on the inside of the drawer is a cheap very thin plywood, but that does not matter because it will hold the weight of a few things inside the drawer. If you want something enexpsive, smallish, and stylish, these are it. 5
