Nice system! Looks good, works well. So far, this is exactly what I needed. We bought this to replace our SadoTech wireless doorbell, which worked okay but the battery died on the ringer outside and there was no way to access the dead battery (bad design). So I figured I would not buy another SadoTech system.Set up and pairing here was easy, but the outside unit requires a special little tool (provided) to open the back and activate the battery. That design is a little strange, but it worked fine. You could probably access the battery with a small screwdriver as well.Things I like about this system:1.) I love that there is a large bell symbol on the button! My old SadoTech unit had no bell image and kind of looked like a garage door opener which sometimes confused visitors. The black color also helps the outside ringer stand out.2.) Lots of ring tone choices and volume control.3.) Range is also good. We have the wall unit about 20 feet from the outside ringer and they are separated by two walls. No problem.4.) The wall unit is cool to the touch. My old SadoTech wall unit was always warm to the touch, which made me nervous about accidents or fires. This new unit runs cool.Plus, it's so inexpensive. We like it! 5Love it! Update:it is not waterproof, water will lead from the button.Easy to setup this wireless doorbell, just plug in the receiver, choose the ringtone and volume you like, and then stick the doorbell outside(comes with a sticker that no drilling is required). How easy~! we love the "Meow" sound, very cute! 4Amazing!! Thank u thank u thank u!! Wow what an amazing product. I have prime and received this in 2 days and just installed it. First of all I thought I was out of luck when my homes doorbell stopped working about 6 months ago. I had no idea there are wireless doorbells until a neighbor suggested it. I looked at Lowes hardware and the styles available were all plain white, outdated designes that look like the old styles. They were twice the cost and with none of the options that come with this; no led, require drilling, and one plain ring tone option with no volume control. I found this and its so wonderful for me because just two days ago I had a security door installed so if I was to lock it, no one could ever knock on my front door. I had an electrician check my old doorbell months ago and it was completely fried with no way to repair. Last Halloween I realized I was missing tricker treaters because they would press the door bell with no avail.Install couldn't have been easier! Just plug in, hold the volume button down for 3 seconds and boom, its paired. I don't see why other reviewers said some of the tones are pointless, its genius! I ran through all the melodies available twice, in 2 minutes, and picked a romantic piano. It comes with some beautiful melodies, even the titanic theme "my heart will go on". It is so nice and loud that unlike my standard old one, I could never hear it in my bedroom or shower. I installed the receiver in my bedroom and I can hear it throughout the whole house. Sure to never miss a delivery or visitor again! I absolutely love this device. The led light on the bell only comes on once pressed, and u can even hear it outside when the door is closed. 5Range is so helpful. I have the button on the door, and the buzzer on the opposite side of the house, where I work. I don't have to worry about not hearing someone knock, or missing the UPS guy when he brings a package (I just have a sign on the door that says to ring the bell). Also, there are soooo many sounds to choose from (a lot of them unnecessary). I have mine set to the Big Ben chimes. 5Simple install So far it works well, due to the fact that I don't have a back doorbell, and didn't want the hassle of having a wired bell installed...Also it was soooo simple to install!! Simply place the tape strip on the back of the bell, and mount it outside of the back door, then plug the sound piece in a area that's good for u to hear it around the house, and you're done!!! 5Bunches of choices for tunes on your doorbell. Love it. Our "Front" door is on the side of the house and we seldom use it. Instead, we usually go out the garage door. I put this doorbell next to the garage door key pad with a note to ring that bell for deliveries (mostly from Amazon). It seems to be working. Most deliveries are now being made there, instead of at the front door. Our front door has the usual 4 note Westminster chime and this one has one of about 50 tunes so it is easy to tell if someone is at the garage or the front door. 5Just get this, it's awesome! If you are looking for a doorbell, get this one! I have had other plug and play doorbells, NONE as good as this one! Like 4-5 volume settings (including no sound, so just the light blinks!) and like 20 or more different songs, tones, and animal sounds (Little Mermaid, symphony classics, expected chimes, goats, cats, dogs, birds....so many music options!) that are very clear. It looks sleek and mounts easily. I can't comment on battery life yet but I don't even care... it's 110% worth every cent. 5This thing is awesome! I bought this for our gate in order to keep people outside of the gate and not let our dogs out. I was worried about the range and the rain on it but it works from far and the rain and 100 degree heat hasn t stopped it from working. Bought it a couples months ago.Picking a ring was fun and exhausting because there are many to choose from. I never made it through the entire selection and settled for the goats. Baa baa baa means baaack gate guest in this house.I m considering getting a second one for our front gate also.Update- 3/6/19- It is still working! Battery has not died yet and it s gotten quite a bit of use. **If you lose power, it will baa baa when power returns. A little freaky the first time it happened and was at night during a storm. Remember this if you decide to get one.** 5Working Great on Aluminum Siding! These little Avantek wireless doorbells work exactly as advertised. We purchased two...one for each door. We chose different sounds for each door. This is really an unbelievable value. Finding the tune that we wanted was simple. Then we just plugged them into an outlet near each door. We chose to mount the buttons outside with the screws rather than the tape. Since we have aluminum siding, we put a small piece of wood underneath each button as others have said that you cannot mount these buttons on metal. So far, no problems with receiving the bells. Also, we have had a couple major thunderstorms since receiving these wireless door bells. That was a good test to see if they are actually wireless. Yes, so far/so good! I would not hesitate to recommend these door bells to anyone. 5Easy install and loud enough to hear throughout the house. Super easy to install with the adhesive. Works out of the box. Plenty loud. Just make sure to remove the transmitter battery plastic first. I'm probably the only one that wishes there were less tones on this thing. They take forever to cycle and most are super cheesy. I just want like 5 high quality doorbell sounding ones to pick from. I think I went back to the default sound. 5
