But it turned out to be perfect: the feet hang over the rim of our ... We bought this rack for a narrow bit of counter space between our sink and the kitchen wall. The base is around seven inches wide, and the space is about six inches, so initially we were a little concerned. But it turned out to be perfect: the feet hang over the rim of our sink as if this were a custom design for the space. The only downside is that we can't use the "little leg" (as we like to call it) to drain. It's hardly a problem, though, as the rubber plug keeps the base water-tight and any excess drainage can be dumped easily into the sink.Best of all is how great this looks. True functional design. Sometimes I truly find myself sitting in our kitchen and admiring this dish rack. It's crazy. 5Joy to use I m a fan of this Japanese brand - some of their items don t translate well to US sized lifestyle items (like bath towel holders/kitchen paper towels holders, out stuff is just too big), but the items that work are well designed, beautifully made, especially nice for smaller spaces.I ve had this item for 1.5 years. This is a winner, if you have limited countertop space but want a dish rack to keep out. It s big/tall/weighty enough to handle pots/pans/heavier items, but is barely 9 wide. You can move/remove the utensil holder, and the drainage can be faced left or right, and it pops off for cleaning. Drainage extends 1.25 beyond base. If you don t want drainage, the hole can be closed (and it closes properly) with a silicone stopper, included.This is a nice, solid, well balanced piece that won t flop over, and the metal basket is coated, with no cracks at joints that can gather grossness or rust.One star off for a few things. Mine has a permanent stain on the base, on the part that is shaped to drain into the drainage hole...it s almost like the surface of the plastic is different and grabs stains. Inside bottom of utensil holder can be cleaned with soaking/a bottle brush. I still love the airy white color for my kitchen. Slats could be a bit closer or maybe wider/flatter metal on the bottom - bottles and narrower glasses can be wobbly. Not huge deals, but for the price, these details count.All in all, a winner that is a joy to use everyday. 4Love it! So sleek and low profile. I saw it on Wayfair and it was almost $30 more than priced here for the same exact thing. The real head scratcher was the fact that it was always out of stock on that website with the higher price and Amazon had it in stock cheaper!I love that it takes up minimal space on my countertop and it looks really expensive and modern. I highly recommend the purchase 5Mostly love it It's amazing how few stylish, compact drainer racks there are to choose from, and this rack is certainly attractive and sturdy. The black matte steel looks great on our wooden countertop. I also love its oblong shape so it can be set to the back of the counter, and the little swivel drainer that directs the water into the sink does its job. Another reviewer mentioned that they wished the wire slats were a little closer together. Yes! This is a design flaw, in my opinion. The dishes don't sit upright at about 80 degrees as they appear to in the picture. Instead, the angle is closer to 50 degrees, which is very annoying. And of course fewer slats means fewer plates can fit. It would've been so easy to design the slats closer together so the plates are almost erect and more can fit. So I find myself putting two plates in each slat, which isn't ideal for drying. I think it was designed by somebody who doesn't actually use a drainer rack. Anyway, I still like it. 4Perfect fit and very sturdy. This is perfect for me. Compact, very sturdy to hold pots and pans. It faces the right way. Fits right beside my sink. So sturdily made with thick metal that I can actually dry my heavy All-Clad pots and lids as well as Pyrex glass containers in it. And fits perfectly in a small space to the right of my sink, between the edge and the wall. I purchased this along with another cheaper one and ended up sending the cheaper one back because it just couldn't compare. I have a very large kitchen but didn't want an unsightly and huge dish rack taking up countertop real estate. I thought it was crazy to pay $50 for a small-ish dish rack. After using it happily for two months, I can say it was money well spent. No complaints. No regrets!!! 5Well-Designed Dish Drainer Counter space in my kitchen is at a premium. I'm not sure why my counters gets so cluttered but with my current dishrack/drainer set taking up a lot of room, I decided to go smaller. I shopped, looked at all my options and decided on the Yamazaki Home 2876 Tower Wire Dish Drainer. Once I committed to this size, one of the habits I had to change was the way and when I do dishes. No more letting it pile up and do at one time, I'd have to wash every time there were a few dishes/pots.I've used it for a few weeks now and like the look of it on my counter. It's made me practice being more clutter-free by putting away much what was on my counter. The dish drainer is very well-made and of metal. It hasn't rusted and is easy to use and clean. It's well-designed and compact. A bit pricey but I'm hoping it will last a longer time. 5Awesome and looks lovely too! I love this. It has such a nice subtle look against my white tile backdrop and white granite countertops! It s narrow rectangular shape fit perfectly in the space I needed it for and I love that it has the little drain so that the water doesn t just sit in the tray. It s durable, I haven t gone easy on it I do occasionally pile some heavier pots and pans in there together and it s getting the job done! This dish drainer is more costly than others I considered, but the best one for the tiny area next to my sink. That space would have otherwise gone to waste while I'd have had to also waste my limited usable counter space on a different dish drainer. I actually thought I was reviewing this drainer when I wrote the review for the plastic one. This wire one does a better job because the air can circulate around the dishes for them to dry. I actually returned the other one without using it because this one shipped faster that expected so they arrived a couple of days apart. Perfect size for dishes for 2 - 4 people; plates, glasses and utensils. I added a side hanging thingy from my old dish drainer to hold plastic cups. Something the manufacturer might want to consider offering. 5
