GS-R > QCK HeavyI thought the QCK Heavy was the best I could buy. Geeze, Was I wrong. The GS-R is a tad wider than the QCK heavy. But WOW it's smooth and it's well worth the 10 extra bucks. I just hope the durability holds up.I have it paired up with a Zowie Fk1 2015 Revision and hyperglide skates. 5Nice pad, but the one I received is unusableThe pad feels good and the quality is nice. I ordered this as my first large mouse pad.However, when I received it, it was folded into fourths inside a small plastic bag. After opening, I saw it had a 2-inch indentation in the center of the pad from the fold. The indentation is in both the cloth and the rubber base. After keeping it under heavy books for a few hours, I laid it flat and tried it out. The indentation is too deep and makes the pad unusable for gaming. I will be returning it.Let it be known that it could have been either Zowie's or Amazon's fault for the incorrect storage and shipping.I will change my review once I receive a smooth pad. 4Best Mousepad on the MarketTo this day, the G-SR/P-SR are the best mousepads on the market. Their tracking is perfect, they are durable beyond my expectations, they clean easily, they have the most minimal and out-of-the-way logo that still looks nice, and the two sizes are perfect for both gaming or productivity. The price point is slightly higher than what some people would consider paying for a mousepad but I would gladly purchase time and time again. 5Zowie's attention to detail is amazing! Best mousepad I've had over 15 years of FPS gamingAs an avid FPS gamer for the past 15 years, Zowie is the brand I love. Much like the Zowie mouse I have, this mousepad is crafted with subtle, yet important features in-mind. Specifically, the underside of the mousepad has a nice grippy surface that prevents it from moving during intense mouse-swipes that happen in FPS gaming. Also, this grippy surface isn't too thick, because that would make the mousepad too thick, which can be undesireable from a comfortability standpoint.And obviously, the most important part of a mousepad is the primary surface your mouseskates rest on right? Well, this one is absolutely right on. Probably the slickest cloth pad I've ever had.Definitely recommended!!! 5Great mouse pad for competitive first person shootersGreat mouse pad for competitive first person shooters. Unlike the Steelseries Qck series, the Zowie G-SR is more wide than tall, which makes sense since in FPS games you tend to use horizontal movement more than vertical. The stitched edges is really a nice feature that adds to the products durability. I've had mine for over a year and the logo is starting to fray, but the edges are still intact due to the stitching.The only issues I've came across were glide and it never did flatten out. Now online people will say that this is more of a slow, control like mouse pad and I would agree to some extent, but when I did use it I noticed that it was dependent on what mouse I was using. For example with my Ninox Venator I found it to be fairly slick, but with my Logitech G403 it felt more noticeable slower. Don't know if it was due to the material of mouse feet or if it was because of the size/weight difference, but it wasn't consistent. It also never flatten out! Over a year of use, washing, laying books on top of it, my mouse pad never truly flattened out. The sides would never truly stay flush with the desk and would have the curl as if it was just unrolled.All in all, this mouse pad is great and used by many professional and hobbyist players alike. 4Overpriced But ExcellentGreat mouse pad but it's overpriced. You can buy a Hyper X one that's of similar (if not better) quality, with a design on it, that's almost twice as large for $10 less. Only thing is that the surface on this mouse pad is so much better than any other mouse pad I've used.It doesn't necessarily feel better on the skin or look better than others, but it just performs better. You can stop on a dime with it, but you don't end up getting stuck when making small adjustments. I have a wired G Pro with Hyper Glide skates and I finger tip grip it. This mouse pad compliments it nicely.I definitely recommend this mouse pad but I'm knocking a star off because of the price. Every other mouse pad is $20 and this one is $30 because it says Zowie. If it was $25 even I'd give it 5 stars. If you don't mind spending the extra $10 and need a good mouse pad for flicks that allows for decent tracking then this is it. 4BEST MOUSEPAD EVER!I have bought many mouse pads: Razer Goliathus control and speed, roocat sense, logitech G 640, steel series heavy and quick, fortro large black mouse pad. All these mouse pads pail in comparison to the Zowie G-SR mouse pad.My sensitivity in first person shooters is 34.6 cm/ 360.Pros of mouse pad* The mouse pad has a rubber base that never slides or slips when doing mouse movements.* There is little resistance on the mouse pad so i can make small accurate movements back and forth.* Even though you are able to make fast movements it still stops and doesn't slip when you snap your mouse* Very good for people with medium sensitivities* Has protected corners so it doesn't ware out as easily.Negatives* Since it is black it is easier to see when it gets dirty* Making 360/ 180 turns rapidly can be challenging on low sensitivities* ExpensiveBy far the best mouse pad iv'e ever owned and would highly recommend this to anyone that wants a good mouse pad for fps. 5Perfect Mouse Pad for Gamers or Non-GamersBefore this Zowie G-SR mouse pad, I owned a SteelSeries QcK+ for six years. I took really good care of it, hence why it lasted me so long. I decided to upgrade my mouse pad because I wanted to try something new and I heard great reviews on this Zowie product. I am 21 and I have been playing computer games since I was 8. I absolutely love this mouse pad and I am glad I upgraded.This mouse pad has a similar feel to my previous (cloth), but there is something about it that makes it smoother. I remember when I first got the SteelSeries mouse pad six years ago and it still wasn't as smooth as what this offers.My girlfriend doesn't play games, but when she uses my computer for work she says my mouse pad is very smooth too.I would buy this product again. 5The best cloth pad currently available.The G-SR is pricier than low end pads but worth every penny. Having tried cheaper value options that were rough and frayed, it's easy to see that you get what you pay for. The G-SR well built, with stiched edges and a fine surface that is consistently smooth all over. The bottom is rubberized and holds to my desk well over frantic sessions of Overwatch. It came rolled up in a large tube/box, and quickly flattened out to my desk. 5The Zowie Hype is RealThis is my new favorite mouse pad, over the years I've used the Steelseries Qck+, Logitech G240, Razer Goliathus, and was using the Steelseries Qck Heavy before trying this one. I do not see myself using anything other than a replacement of this if/when it breaks down. It has plenty of room for long swipes for low sensitivity fps gaming, and a perfect balance of speed and control, I don't know how to explain it but it seems like when I flick to someone I don't go too far and have to make micro corrections, It's like driving a car with way better breaks than you are used to. My hand stops where I intend for it to. 5/5 stars love it! 5
